Trust in Hashem for everything!!!

This week, we read the double portion of Acharei Mot-Kedoshim, and there is a powerful connection between these verses and the idea of living with the constant awareness that we are in the hands of Hashem.

๐Ÿ•ฏ️ Living in the Hands of Hashem: A Message from Acharei Mot-Kedoshim

The parsha of Kedoshim begins with a famous command:

"You shall be holy, for I, Hashem your G-d, am holy." (Leviticus 19:2)

At first glance, "holiness" sounds like something distant or angelic. But as the parsha continues, we see that Hashem defines holiness through very "down-to-earth" actions: how we treat our parents, how we conduct business, and how we leave corner of our fields for the poor.

Why is this the path to holiness?

Because when we follow these laws, we are declaring that we don't run the world—Hashem does. 1. Bitachon (Trust) in Action: When a farmer leaves the corner of his field (Pe'ah) for those in need, he is physically demonstrating his trust. He isn't worried about "losing" profit because he knows his sustenance doesn't come from the soil or his own hard work alone—it comes from the hands of Hashem.

2. The "I Am Hashem" Signature: Throughout Parshat Kedoshim, many verses end with the phrase, "Ani Hashem"—I am Hashem. It’s like a Divine signature on every aspect of our lives. It reminds us that whether we are in the synagogue or the marketplace, we are never out of His sight or His care.

The Best Hands Possible

Being "holy" means living with the joy that comes from Bitachon. If we believed that our success depended entirely on our own limited strength, we would be constantly stressed! But the Torah tells us to be holy by recognizing that we are part of something much greater.

When we realize that every moment of our lives—even the mundane ones—is an opportunity to connect with the Creator, our perspective shifts. We can be happy because we aren't just "in the hands of fate" or "in the hands of luck."

We are in the hands of Hashem Himself, the One who created us with love and sustains us with infinite wisdom.

Shabbat Shalom! ✡️
