This week in Israel is Parshat Beha'alotecha (Numbers 8:1–12:16) — where Aaron is commanded to raise the light in the lamps of the Menorah, and the tribe of Levi is initiated into the service in the Sanctuary. Perfect — the Kohanim and Levi'im in their full glory! Now here's your Torah Shir:

This week is Parshat Beha'alotecha — "When you raise the light" — and what a parsha for this moment in the world. Aharon doesn't just light a Menorah, he lifts it — the verb בְּהַעֲלֹתְךָ means to elevate, to cause to ascend. That's the Kohen's whole job: taking the earthly and raising it heavenward.

The crown jewel of the parsha (and really of the entire Torah) is Birkat Kohanim — the three-line priestly blessing that HaShem Himself composed and gave to the Kohanim to deliver. Three lines, 3–5–7 words, building like a pyramid of blessing. No army, no treaty — just open hands and an ancient name, and that is what the world is waiting for.
